A Hollywood mirror turns your dressing table into your own beauty spot. The light around the glass falls evenly on your face, so your make-up at home looks as flawless as at the make-up artist's. But which size do you choose, what is the difference between separate bulbs and an LED strip, and do you need Bluetooth? In this buying guide we set it all out for you.
Why a Hollywood mirror?
Ordinary lighting usually comes from above. That creates shadows under your eyes and along your nose, and ceiling lights often make your skin look yellow or dull. A Hollywood mirror has light all around the glass. Your face is lit from every side, without shadows. As a result, you see exactly how your foundation, contouring and eyeliner will look once you are outside.
Step 1: choose the right size
The size determines how much you see at once and where the mirror fits. Measure your dressing table or the wall before you choose.
| Size | What do you see? | Fits on | Our models |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 × 30 cm or 40 × 30 cm | Your face | Desk, small dressing table, bathroom | Chantally 30 × 30, Chantally 40 × 30 |
| 58 × 46 cm | Face and hair | A standard dressing table | Camille white, black, Capucine with Bluetooth |
| 80 × 60 cm | Face, hair and shoulders | Large dressing table or on the wall | Celine XL, LED strip XL |
Not sure? The 58 × 46 cm is our bestseller. Big enough to style your hair, compact enough for most dressing tables.

Step 2: separate bulbs or an LED strip?
A classic Hollywood mirror has round bulbs around the glass, just like in a theatre dressing room. On our 58 × 46 cm models there are 15 dimmable LED bulbs, on the Celine XL there are 18. That gives the well-known glamour look.
A mirror with an LED strip has one continuous band of light. It has a calmer look and suits a sleek or minimalist interior well. The light is just as even. So the choice is mainly a matter of taste.
Step 3: the light
Our Hollywood mirrors have 3 light colours:
- Cool light: bright and white, ideal for checking your make-up.
- Neutral light: closest to daylight, for every day.
- Warm light: soft and flattering, nice for the evening or a party look.
All models are dimmable. On most mirrors the touch control remembers your favourite setting, so your light is set right straight away.
Tip: do your make-up in neutral or cool light and then quickly check it in warm light if you are going out in the evening.
Step 4: handy extras
- Detail mirror: a 10x magnifying mirror for brows, eyeliner and skincare. On the Chantally 40 × 30 cm it is 5x.
- Bluetooth speaker: music or a podcast during your routine, on the Capucine, the Celine XL and the LED strip XL.
- USB port: charge your phone or beauty tools at your mirror.
- Freestanding or on the wall: most models can do both. Check the product page to see what your mirror allows.
Other mirrors with light
Looking for something other than a classic dressing table mirror? The round Claíre is double-sided and cordless thanks to a built-in battery. Want to see yourself from head to toe? Then the freestanding 160 × 40 cm Calyndor is a full-length mirror with light.
How to keep your mirror looking good
- Clean the glass with a soft, slightly damp microfibre cloth.
- Do not spray cleaning product directly onto the mirror or the bulbs, but onto the cloth.
- Do not place the mirror right next to the shower, so no water gets into the electronics.
