How to choose the right size
A few rules of thumb help you get started:
- Height: a coffee table works best when it is roughly the same height as, or slightly lower than, the seat of your sofa.
- Distance: leave enough space between the sofa and the coffee table to stretch your legs and walk past.
- Length: a coffee table that is clearly shorter than your sofa looks balanced.
- Side table: choose a height around that of the armrest, so you can easily put down your cup.
